Masai Mara, has been in contention for consideration as the eighth wonder of the world, thanks to the annual wildebeest and zebra migration that sees 1.5 million animals trek from the Serengeti in Tanzania to Kenya between July and October. It is home to the big five among other wildlife not to mention the charismatic regal looking Maasai people who have co-existed with the wildlife in their day to day nomadic lifestyle.

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara Game ReserveDepart Nairobi 09:00hrs from a central prearranged pickup point, passing extinct volcanoes Longonot & Suswa enroute. Drive on to camp reaching camp at approximately 13:00hrs, late lunch, settle in and thereafter a game drive at the park before returning to camp as the sun sets over the western skies to a hot shower, drinks around the campfire and dinner. Chat around the campfire before retiring for the night.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National ReserveDepart at first dawn with light breakfast for a balloon experience, in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, after which your driver/guide will pick you for a day of game viewing. The Mara offers variety and numbers of game unparalleled in any other park in Kenya. A packed lunch will be served on arrival at the hippo pool, in the company of large pods of hippos. Thereafter your route changes arriving at camp in the late afternoon as dusk approaches. Dinner and a chat around the fire before retiring for the night.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National ReserveEarly morning game drive to catch the animals at their most active before the sun heats up the area and they all go into hiding. Returning to camp mid morning for breakfast thereafter relax at camp or take guided walks to the surrounding hills or for those interested a drive to one of the lodges for swim to ward off the heat. Returning in time to go back to the park for evening game drives or a repeat of day two’s itinerary only on different routes and without the balloon safari. Return to camp for dinner and a chat around the fire before retiring for the night Alternatively a full day game drive with picnic lunch can be arranged discuss options with driver guide night before.

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

An early game drive returning mid morning for breakfast thereafter pack our bags and return to Nairobi arriving at approximately 16:00hrs.
